It all started back in 1990 from humble beginnings, when founder Alan Wenden saw a need to create a tea which would compliment Wales’ wonderful water! His meticulous work & dedication resulted in the creation of our original everyday tea – a blend of quality Indian & African teas… and TA-DA… Welsh Brew Tea was born!

30 Years of Proper Welsh Brews!

And now we have updated the design for our Original Welsh Brew Tea boxes, creating a more colourful & vibrant look, taking inspiration from the wonderful Welsh landscape, wild fauna & rolling valleys.
 

 
Since the early days when Alan sold his tea from the back of his faithful old Volvo, our brews have continued to become a household favourite across Wales. Fast forward 30 years, and although no longer selling from a Volvo (local shops, supermarkets, restaurants & Cafes are more our thing nowadays), we are now responsible for serving over 60 million cups a year and growing!

We may have grown, but we are still a 100% independent Welsh family run business. Today the next generation of the Wenden family continues to take the brand forward with the same passion as Alan, now with an ever-growing range of speciality teas, tea infusions, a fantastic decaf, coffees & even hot chocolate!
